The original rendering of "Keren" was a donation to
HOPE International, Lancaster, PA. Easily representing
the theme of "Finding Dignity and Beauty in the Midst of
Poverty", "Keren" had stepped away from the sugar cane fields
of Haiti and into my heart. The simple unmistakeable look of
hope in the eye of this beautiful child and her natural
wonderment and anticipation is what immediately connected me
to her, leaving no distance between us. I experienced such joy
each and every moment I spent bringing this precious child to
life on paper. It was my great pleasure and honor to present HOPE
International with "Keren" and I sincerly hope you too will
experience the same joy and connection I had with her.
